My mind is always swirling with projects and ideas. Creative blocks aren’t something I often experience—instead, I tend to pile up collections and concepts that sometimes never see the light of day. But one idea has lingered in the back of my mind for years: collaborating with another artist to craft jewelry inspired by their vision and universe.
Back in 2010, when I was in jewelry school, I reached out to Charmaine Olivia with the idea of creating a collection inspired by her work. Unfortunately, that project never came to life. Life and career twists kept me from pursuing that dream for a while, but the idea never faded.
Fast forward to now—after following Olivia Faust’s incredible work for many years, I knew it was time to stop pushing this dream aside. I reached out to her last summer, and after countless exchanges, quick sketches, gemstone hunting, and dedicated work, we’re finally ready to unveil Uneven’s very first artist collaboration collection!
Olivia has crafted a universe that’s entirely her own. Her work is distinctive yet versatile—goth, kitsch, chic, and wonderfully spontaneous. I love how she doesn’t fit neatly into any box but instead creates her own. That spirit resonated deeply with me.
Olivia was an absolute dream to work with. She embraced my ideas and helped refine every last detail. For once, I feel like I succeeded in bringing a whole collection to life—not just 1/10 of what I had in mind but almost all of it!
What to Expect
A selection of made-to-order pieces, limited styles, and a few one-of-a-kind creations will be dropping in the shop on February 13th at 6 PM EST (Midnight Society gets early access at 5 PM).
Think pastel goth, muted pink and purple tones, chartreuse accents—feisty but cute, magical, and unapologetically bold.
Here’s a sneak peek: a beautiful drawing by Olivia herself of the first piece we’ll reveal tomorrow—the Sugar Goth Ring.
I can’t wait to share this collection with you and see your response.
And once again, thank you for being part of this journey—it means the world to me.
