I first met Alex, the artist behind L’Hermite, years ago when I was working in a restaurant and he was a tattoo artist. We’d cross paths every so often, and I remember thinking, this guy seems cool—we could definitely be friends.
Life carried on, as it does.
Years later, our worlds reconnected through local markets. By then, Alex had shifted from tattooing to building his own Brand and world; l'Hermite.
Alex and I are both small-town souls, tied to nature, vintage treasures, and—of course—spooky season. We create in different tones, but from the same essence: a love for stories, textures, and the in-between spaces where darkness and magic meet.
I’m lucky to now call him a friend now!
Through L’Hermite, Alex explores “the world where the weird becomes sacred, and outcasts find a home.” He blends folklore, fashion, witchcraft, and lived experience into work that’s as soft as it is intense.
Our first piece together is Sombre Moisson, a simple sickle pendant—a symbol of harvest, death, and transformation.
This collaboration isn’t just about jewelry. It’s about connection—between artists, between worlds, and between everyone who finds meaning in the strange and the beautiful.
I’m so excited to share Sombre Moisson with you and to hopefully introduce some of you to Alex’s hauntingly cozy work.
Take a moment to explore L’Hermite’s world...and then meet us in the harvest.
